On July 10 the State Democracy Research Initiative and the Elections Research Center at UW-Madison hosted the second event in our Election Matters 2025 series: “Year in Review: Democracy Litigation in SCOTUS and the States,” sponsored by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. Moderated by SDRI Faculty Co-Director Miriam Seifter, our panelists Erwin Chemerinsky (UC Berkeley School of Law), Bo Dul (Office of the Arizona Governor), Tara Leigh Grove (University of Texas at Austin School of Law), and Kasia Szymborski Wolfkot (Brennan Center, State Court Report) reviewed major cases from the past year, highlighting significant democracy-related decisions at both the state and federal levels.
