Kari Fischer is the Program Coordinator for the State Democracy Research Initiative at the University of Wisconsin Law School. She recently completed her B.A. in Political Science and English Language and Linguistics from the University of Wisconsin Madison in Spring 2021. Her undergraduate degree brought her experiences interning on Captiol Hill in Washington D.C., working with the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation, and many academic experiences related to elections and democracy.

Before returning to campus, Kari participated in the US Fulbright Program. The Fulbright Program aims to “expand perspectives through academic and professional advancement and cross-culture dialogue.” Kari spent her year as an English Teaching Assistant in Trondheim, Norway, working with both high school students and masters students in STEM related fields.
