Election Matters 2026: The Battle Over Mid-Decade Redistricting

On March 6, the State Democracy Research Initiative and the Elections Research Center at UW-Madison hosted an Election Matters 2026 Panel, “The Battle Over Mid-Decade Redistricting,” sponsored by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. The panel discussed mid-decade redistricting efforts and situated these recent developments within the context of broader legal debates about gerrymandering. Panelists included Michael Li (Brennan Center for Justice), Sara Sadhwani (Pomona College), and Nicholas Stephanopoulos (Harvard Law School), with SDRI faculty co-director Rob Yablon moderating.
