On March 7th, the State Democracy Research Initiative and the Elections Research Center at UW-Madison hosted the first event in our Election Matters 2025 series: “Understanding State Supreme Court Elections: Wisconsin and Beyond,” sponsored by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. Moderated by SDRI Faculty Co-Director Miriam Seifter, Professors Barry Burden (UW-Madison Political Science), Michael Kang (Northwestern Pritzker School of Law), and Quinn Yeargain (MSU College of Law) discussed the impact, funding, and legal context of state supreme court races.
