On July 11th, the State Democracy Research Initiative and the Elections Research Center at UW-Madison hosted the second event in the Election Matters 2024 series: “Year in Review: Democracy Litigation in SCOTUS and the States” sponsored by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. Moderated by SDRI Faculty Co-Director, Professor Miriam Seifter, panelists Pamela Karlan (Stanford Law School), Derek Muller (Notre Dame Law School), Gowri Ramachandran (Brennan Center for Justice), and Rylee Sommers-Flanagan (Upper Seven Law) provided a case law year in review, highlighting significant election-related decisions at both the state and federal levels.
