On September 13th the State Democracy Research Initiative and the Elections Research Center at UW-Madison hosted the third event in our Election Matters 2024 series: “The Promise & Perils of AI in American Elections,” sponsored by Stafford Rosenbaum LLP. Moderated by the Elections Research Center Director Barry Burden, panelists Craig Holman (Public Citizen), Claire Leibowicz (Partnership on AI), Alex Lindsay (AI Political Pulse), and Lawrence Norden (Brennan Center for Justice) discussed the risks and applications of artificial intelligence in U.S. elections and campaigns.
