State Constitutions and Unenumerated Rights – Wisconsin and Beyond

On September 19th  The State Democracy Research Initiative and The Federalist Society, Madison Lawyers Chapter hosted a panel entitled “State Constitutions and Unenumerated Rights – Wisconsin and Beyond” at The Madison Club. The discussion was focused on content of panelist Anthony Sanders’ newest book, “Baby Ninth Amendments: How Americans Embraced Unenumerated Rights and Why It Matters.” The panel discussed the historical origins of unenumerated rights in state constitutions, and how they differ from those afforded by the Ninth Amendment.
