The State Democracy Research Initiative and the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies invite you to join us for “State Constitutions and Climate Change” on Friday, October 27th from 3:00-4:15pm Central Time, with a reception to follow. This event will take place in person in Room 2260 of the Law School, with the option to attend virtually. The event is approved for 1.5 CLE Credits.
The panel will address the role of state constitutions and institutions in addressing climate change, as well as questions of environmental justice and policy. Our panelists will include Retired Justice Michael Wilson (Hawaii Supreme Court), Dean Elizabeth Kronk Warner (S.J. Quinney College of Law), Professor Shelley Welton (Penn Carey Law School), and Professor Jonathan Adler (Case Western Reserve Law School). The panel will be moderated by the Co-Director of the State Democracy Research Initiative, Professor Miriam Seifter.
